What We Offer

Personalized Care Services

Life at Shalom Comfort Care AFH is thoughtfully shaped around each resident’s individual needs, personality, and daily rhythm. Every service we provide is delivered with skill, patience, and a genuine desire to see each person flourish.

24-Hour Personalized Care

At Shalom Comfort Care AFH, someone who truly cares is always present. Our attentive caregivers provide round-the-clock support in a calm, home-like setting where residents feel secure at every hour of the day and night. From morning routines to late-night comfort checks, we are here to meet every physical, emotional, and personal care need with warmth and professionalism.

Assistance with Daily Living (ADLs)

We assist residents with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transfers, mobility assistance, hygiene care, and other personal support needs. Care is provided respectfully and according to each resident’s personal routine and level of independence.

Medication Management

Our trained staff safely manage all medications including secure storage, administration, documentation, monitoring, reminders, and coordination with physicians and pharmacies according to Oregon state regulations.

Mobility and Physical Support

We provide mobility assistance for residents who use walkers, wheelchairs, Hoyer lifts, hospital beds, transfer devices, or require physical support with movement and positioning. Our spacious home and accessible bathroom are designed to safely accommodate residents with mobility challenges and higher medical care needs.

Dementia and High-Care Support

Our caregivers have extensive experience supporting residents with dementia, memory loss, behavioral challenges, hospice care needs, wheelchair support, and higher medical care needs. Staff provide calm, compassionate, and patient-centered care focused on safety, comfort, dignity, emotional support, and quality of life.

Hospice and End-of-Life Support

We work closely with hospice providers, nurses, physicians, and families to provide compassionate end-of-life care in a peaceful home environment. Our goal is to help residents remain comfortable, respected, and surrounded by support during this important stage of life.

Home-Cooked Meals and Nutrition

Residents receive fresh home-cooked meals prepared daily based on USDA MyPlate nutrition guidelines, physician orders, dietary restrictions, and personal preferences. We accommodate diabetic diets, low-sodium diets, soft-food diets, and texture-modified meals as needed.

Housekeeping and Laundry

We provide daily housekeeping, room cleaning, linen changes, laundry services, and general home maintenance to ensure residents live in a clean, safe, and comfortable environment at all times.

Comfortable Common Areas

The home features large open living spaces with vaulted ceilings, skylights, bright natural light, hardwood flooring, and a welcoming fireplace. The combined living room, dining room, and kitchen create a warm and social environment where residents can relax, dine, and spend time together comfortably.

Outdoor Space and Relaxation Areas

Residents can enjoy a peaceful landscaped backyard, covered patio seating, walking space, garden views, and fresh Oregon air. The backyard regularly attracts hummingbirds, robins, blue jays, finches, and other local birds, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

Safety and Emergency Preparedness

The home maintains emergency food, water, first aid supplies, backup power, emergency communication equipment, evacuation plans, and personalized emergency go-bags for every resident. An emergency relocation residence is also available if needed.

Experienced and Compassionate Staff

Our caregivers have between 5 and 16 years of hands-on caregiving experience and are committed to treating every resident with kindness, patience, dignity, and respect. Staff are experienced supporting individuals with dementia, behavioral challenges, hospice care, wheelchair support, and higher medical care needs while providing dependable care and supervision around the clock.

A True Home Environment

Premier Adult Family Home was designed to feel like a real home, not an institution. With peaceful surroundings, personalized care, comfortable bedrooms, warm social spaces, and caring staff, we strive to create an environment where residents feel safe, valued, and truly at home.

Family Communication and Support

We believe families are an important part of resident care. Our staff and administration maintain open communication with families regarding health updates, care changes, appointments, concerns, and resident well-being to help families stay informed and connected.
